Since I Was 24, I Have Been Self-Funding Expeditions in Search of Sages, Physicians and Mystics.

When I was a kid, while all the other boys and girls were hoping to have girlfriends and boyfriends, I only wanted one thing. I wanted to be apprenticed to a sage, to a mystic, a physician – the mythical, Merlin type figure.

In 2010, I booked a one way flight to China in search of them, which eventually led to me staying in China for over a year, learning Chinese, and heading to one mountain famous for hermits – Hua Shan.

Even though on that expedition I didn’t find what I was looking for, I have many more expeditions planned in the future.

My intention here is to share with you the details of my self-funded expeditions throughout the world, to seek out the people I was looking for in my early childhood.
